Tiny home material list

A material checklist written for the trip to the lumberyard

Design the building first. Tiny Home Tool then organizes estimated quantities into familiar store sections with board sizes and lengths, connectors, fasteners, sheathing and roof accessories.

Build and estimate

What the detailed list covers

Foundation and floor

Concrete-pier allowances, reinforcing steel, tubes, pressure-treated beam plies, floor joist stock, hangers and connector fasteners.

Shell and openings

Rafter and stud stock, plates, headers, king and jack studs, blocking, sheathing and opening notes.

Dry-in and finish

Roof panels or shingles, underlayment, drip edge, rake trim, ridge cap, closure strips, screws, siding and selected interior finish materials.

The printable HTML checklist contains only items you actually buy and remembers checked items in the browser. The editable CSV includes store departments, purchase quantities, stock-size fields, unit prices and formulas. The blueprint package also includes a member schedule, cut schedule and lumber cut-optimization file.

Every quantity is an estimate. Verify products, waste, compatibility, structural requirements and local store inventory before purchasing.
